The Mesa Fire Department is partnering with the Foundation for Burns and Trauma, Inc., a local nonprofit to distribute smoke alarms and batteries for free in a west Mesa neighborhood, according to a city news release.
Residents in about 500 homes can avail the free items. The homes are at least 10 years old. Officials will drop by the area on Saturday, November 8.
